How many treatments does it take?
Multiple sessions over a period of time are usually required, but give the very best results. You may notice some improvement after the first or second treatment, but more significant results will occur after 2 to 3 treatments spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Will I be red or inflamed after the treatment?
Most people will notice redness and mild swelling similar to a slight sunburn for 24 to 48 hours and there may be slight pinpoint bleeding and/or bruising. Skin will be noticeably smoother and more radiant within a week or two.
Is it painful?
The micro-needling device’s high-speed motor causes needle penetration to occur really quickly, feeling more like a sandpaper sensation than needle sticks. Depending on the areas being treated and the depth of needle penetration, patients may experience stronger sensation. Amainte applies a numbing cream before the procedure to reduce or eliminate any possible discomfort or pain.
How much do the treatments cost?
Each treatment is unique and specialized to your skin. The cost will be determined during your initial assessment and will be determined by the length and width of the scar.
